  4. I promise to love the water.  I'll keep it clean, like I ought to.  I'll let 
  5. it splash my bare legs or drink it down in great big gulps.  I'm glad 
  6. I'm a kid who loves water.

  8. Page 1:
  9. Slosh, slosh, slosh.  There's water everywhere I look!  Clear water.  
  10. Deep water. Cold water. Hot water. I love water.
  11.  
  12. What's more delicious than a cold glass of water on a hot day?  Have 
  13. you ever tasted purple water?  Add a drop of red food coloring to a 
  14. glass of water.  Now add a drop of blue.  Stir, add an ice cube, and 
  15. sip.  Ah! No matter the color, clean water is delicious!

  18. I love water.  Watch me hook a garden hose to the sprinkler and turn 
  19. it on.  Do I dare run through?  One, two, three--go!  Eeek! It's cold!  I 
  20. love water.

  22. Have a water parade.  Put on your bathing suit and call some friends.  
  23. Ask them to bring squirt toys.  Single file, everyone.  Ready?  
  24. Forward, march!

  27. I love water.  All I need is water and a bubble bath to make piles of 
  28. suds.  Hills of suds.  Mountains of suds.  Look out!  Stand back!  It's 
  29. the Suds Monster!  I love water.

  31. Have your mom or dad hide small toys in the bathtub.  Then add 
  32. your bubble bath and water.  During your bath, search for the toy 
  33. treasures.  How many can you find?

  36. I love water--and I'm not the only one.  All day long my goldfish 
  37. swim in their bowl.  They swish their tails and always keep their 
  38. eyes open under water.  I love water.

  40. In a swimming pool or lake, float on your back and listen to the 
  41. sound of water.  What do you hear?  Now float on your front.  Open 
  42. your eyes.  What do you see?

  45. I love water--especially rain.  Watch it sprinkle!  I open my mouth 
  46. and catch a drop...or two...or three.  The thirsty plants like rain, too.  I 
  47. love water.

  49. Make this craft on a rainy day.  First, fill a clean jar with water--not 
  50. quite to the top.  Add a drop or two of dishwashing liquid.  Sprinkle 
  51. in some glitter.  Close it tight, and shake.  It's raining!  Glue a round 
  52. piece of felt or colored paper to the lid and add a ribbon border, if 
  53. you wish.

  56. I love water.  Splish, splash, I'm giving the car a bath.  Squirt, squirt, 
  57. look out dirt!  The water runs down the gutter and, suddenly, the car 
  58. is shiny-clean!  I love water.

  60. Get some friends together.  Give everyone a paper cup.  Fill yours to 
  61. the brim with water.  Stand at the front of the line.  At the signal 
  62. "go," pour your water into the next player's cup.  How fast can your 
  63. friends pour the water from cup to cup?  How much water is left at 
  64. the end of the line?  Play the game again, only faster.

  67. I love water.  Waterfalls are wonderful, but there's only one way to 
  68. catch one.  Do you have a camera?  Aim and shoot.  I love water.

  70. Play a game of water hide-and-seek.  If you're "It," find your friends 
  71. and squirt them--before they squirt you!

  74. I love water.  Go ahead, ocean--roar!  And I'll yell, too.  First, you 
  75. chase me.  Then I'll chase you.  I love water.

  77. Find large box.  Climb inside.  Imagine what it would be like to be the 
  78. captain of a boat on the ocean.  Can you feel the waves rocking?  
  79. Decorate your boat with paints.

  82. I love water.  After I play outside, it washes my clothes clean.  It 
  83. washes me, too--with a little help from Mom.  I love water.

  85. Make a boat to float in the bathtub or sink.  Crack a walnut in half.  
  86. Roll a small ball of clay and press it into the bottom of the shell.  Cut 
  87. a tiny sail from paper.  Poke the toothpick through the sail.  Push the 
  88. toothpick into the clay.  Happy sailing, captain!

  91. I love water--clean, clear water.  Who will keep the Earth's water 
  92. clean?  I will, because I love water.

  94. Find out more about water and pollution.  Library books tell what 
  95. things people can do to keep water clean.  Read the books with your 
  96. family.
